It's amazing how the Texas floods were not an emergency, nor were the California fires, but the declining crime rate in DC is an emergency.

Immigration advocate Aaron Reichlin-Melnick pointed out that, unlike the federal government, the state of Florida “can be sued for civil rights violations and punished with monetary damages.”
